About us

Run by a mother-and-daughter team since 2023

Centurion Bark Farm is a cage-free doggy daycare and boarding facility on a smallholding in Mnandi, Centurion, run by mother-and-daughter team Julie and Julisa van der Merwe.

Established in 2023, the farm was built around one simple idea: give dogs a safe, fun environment where they can play and socialise. Julie and Julisa run it hands-on, so every dog gets personal attention rather than a spot in a kennel block.

Alongside daycare and boarding they also offer dog training. Every dog deserves love, whether they're a champion pedigree or a proud pavement special, and here dogs are treated as guests of the family, which is why so many Centurion dog owners keep bringing their fur babies back.

What makes it different

The cage-free approach

Traditional kennels keep dogs separated in runs. Bark Farm keeps them together, outdoors, under supervision.

Free roaming

Dogs move around the property instead of waiting in a cage for their turn outside.

Real socialising

Dogs learn to be around other dogs, which is useful long after the stay ends.

Farm, not facility

It feels like a home and a farm, not a clinic or a boarding block.
